To us the food was as expected, very nice. Once we asked it was returned after another wait. Once finished we literally waited 1/2 an hour to ask for our bill. We really enjoyed all three of the dishes and would order them again. The Rainbow Roll $12 is quite a steal since it is a large roll with a good amount of fish. The fish cuts were again relatively large and this dish at $22 is also of decent value. The Sushi Deluxe had 7 pieces of fish and three pieces of a roll. The Sashimi Deluxe was 6 types of fish and two pieces of each. After what seemed to be a reasonable time the dishes were delivered. and a Sushi Deluxe to share between three people. We ordered a Rainbow Roll, a Sashimi Deluxe. It took a very very long time for our server to get our order. We didn't have a reservation and were seated right away. We visited on a Friday night and they were busy but not packed. To provide this poor quality destroys your reputation, unless this reflects your typical service. My recommendation to the management of Chinatown: don't open and serve unless you are prepared to do provide acceptable service. It was 20 minutes before the rest of our dishes were served. The sweet and sour shrimp were excessively doughy. Most were cold, the rice was a starchy clump. About 30 minutes after we got our appetizers, some of our dishes arrived. I asked her to put one of those on ice and bring it after we finished the first bottle. I noticed on the wine rack next to our table was at least 30 bottles of the wine we had ordered. She brought our wine saying although we had ordered 2 bottles, they had served all but one. Then, a new waitress showed up to to take our wine order and was much more responsive. We attempted to order wine, and he responded he'd have to come back to take our wine order. About half the dishes we attempted to order, he indicated they were out of these also. Also be aware after we had finished our meals and were about to leave, we saw tables being served soups.
His response was, "We're out of all soups." Keep in mind, this was 6:00 p.m. The waiter who showed up was a pure jerk. We finally stopped the hostess who said she would have someone come to our table. After we got seated after 20 minutes, no one had come to take our order or bring glasses of water. They don't take reservations, and we had a very lengthy wait. That may have influenced my experience, but it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had a a restaurant. My only exposure with this restaurant was on Christmas Day.
